Poké-Trade Shipping Center
A practical shipping guide for trading cards, graded slabs and sealed collectibles—plus packing supplies and ways to ask about protection in transit and at home.
The safer shipment checklist
No packaging method eliminates transit risk. These steps help protect the item and preserve a useful record if a shipment needs review.
Agree on the exact cards, condition, value, recipient and shipping method before you send anything. For a trade, keep the terms and both confirmations in your Trade Center record.
Photograph the front and back of raw cards, graded labels and certification numbers, then the protected contents and sealed outer package. Save receipts and tracking with the transaction.
Sleeve raw cards, place them in a rigid holder and secure the opening without touching the card. Cushion slabs individually. Use a sturdy outer box for valuable or fragile shipments and fill empty space so nothing shifts.
Check the address, choose a trackable service and consider signature delivery for higher-value items. Obtain an acceptance scan or drop-off receipt, share the tracking number and follow the shipment through delivery.
Choose the right protection
Penny sleeve → appropriately sized rigid holder → removable pull tab or closure that never touches the card → cardboard or rigid mailer → cushioned outer packaging when needed.
Protect the slab from scratches, wrap it separately, then cushion all sides inside a snug rigid box. Keep multiple slabs from striking one another.
Protect corners and factory seals with a fitted box or protector, add cushioning and place it inside a sturdy shipping carton. Avoid pressure on the original seal.
Use carrier packaging rules for your selected service. For fragile or especially valuable items, consider additional cushioning, a second box and signature delivery where available.

Know what protection means
Ask about eligible parcel or transit protection for a particular trade, sale or grading submission. Limits, exclusions, documentation, carrier and packaging conditions depend on the product selected.
Declared value is not automatically insurance. Check the actual protection terms before shipping, especially for high-value cards.
Ask about transit optionsIf you own valuable singles, slabs or sealed inventory, ask a licensed agent about specialty collectibles coverage for the places and activities that matter to you—at home, in storage, at shows and, if eligible, in transit.
Collection policies and shipment-specific protection are separate. Neither is in force until an eligible policy or protection product is purchased and confirmed.
Explore collection coverageCoverage requests go to TCG-Insurance and licensed BetterHelp Insurance agents. Poké-Trade does not underwrite or bind insurance. Coverage and eligibility are subject to the insurer or protection provider's terms; a quote request does not create coverage.
Confirm eligibility. Check commodity limits, maximum payable value, exclusions and claim requirements for the carrier and any separate protection.
Keep proof of value. Save a sale receipt, invoice or other accepted valuation alongside condition photos and certification details.
Keep the packaging. If a package arrives damaged, photograph it before opening and retain the box, cushioning and contents for the claims process.
Carrier rules and available services change. Review the current USPS, UPS and FedEx guidance for your chosen shipment. Poké-Trade is not a carrier; carrier services or in-store acceptance are offered only where available.
